Because our daughter was adopted from Romania, and because she lives with the effects of her time spent in instutions every day of her life, we have a vested interest in the abandoned children that remain in the orphanages and hospitals in this country. We as a family support House of Angels through volunteer work and monetary donations. House of Angels is an emergency shelter located in the beautiful hills of Gaesti, Romania caring for children from birth to three years of age by providing temporary placement for children until permanent solutions can be found for them in a true family setting. Here, abandoned children receive medical services, nutritional meals, colorful rooms, comfortable cribs, hugs, stimulation, toys with time and opportunity for play, and lots and LOTS and LOTS of love... worlds above the hospital setting where they would otherwise spend their first three years of life were House of Angels not there to help.
